Cameron Garfield is a 2009 C with a 6'1'', 195 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Murrieta Valley. Garfield showed catching ability in the work out with a 1.90 pop time and has strong catchers frame. At the plate he has a quick bat with very good balance and hits hard line drives to all fields. He gets good extension in his swing and has serious power potential. Not sure if he showed the arm strength to catch at the highest levels, but he projects large at the plate and shows MLB caliber hitting tools. He is a good student and has made a verbal commitment to San Diego.
