Cudney is a 6-0, 165 lb right handed pitcher from North Carolina with a wiry young build. He has a complicated multipart delivery with a hard front side and lots of spin off on release. Cudney's fastball was 80-81 mph and missed high frequently because of his delivery. Cudney's curveball and change up were both pretty solid developing pitches, especially the curveball after he got a feel for his release point. Cudney's arm works well and there's more velocity in there with physical maturity and smoother mechanics. Cudney is also a good student.
