Ty Muller is a 2007 C/1B with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Oak Park, CA, who attends Oak Park HS. Muller has a very good frame with present strength. Defensively he is very quick behind the plate in everything he does. He has a quick release that helped him produce pop times under 2.00 with a best of 1.91, and he was very accurate with his throws. His quickness and footwork also allowed him to block balls in the dirt well. Muller sets up well behind the plate with soft hands and good receiving skills. Offensively he has a quiet approach with a flex knee stance. Muller takes an aggressive swing with nice swing mechanics. Stays balanced through his swing and keeps his hands inside the ball. Line drive hitter with quick wrists who is currently a gap power hitter, but should hit for more power in the future. Muller has advanced catch and throw skills with a solid bat. A must follow and a good student as well.
