Sommers is an "05" SS/2B from South Dakota. At 6'0/150 he projects to get a lot bigger and stronger. He runs well and his arm will play at least at 2B. He's a bit choppy and stiff right now in the Inf., but he has nice hands and good instincts. He plays with lots of intensity. He scored on a short passed ball using his outstanding baserunning instincts. He's not quite strong enough to handle the wood yet, but he shows hitting potential. He's only a junior and might end up being real good.
