Trevor Koons is a 2009 SS/3B with a 5'9'', 164 lb. frame from Oceanside, California, who attends Vista High School. Koons has a lean and athletic frame. Defensively he has quick feet in the middle of the diamond that allows him to get in the proper fielding position. He stays down on balls well showing good hands, and Koons gets rid of the ball well with a quick release. He has body control, and he makes the plays. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an average base. Koons has good hands and stays inside the ball showing the ability to hit to all fields. He has nice swing mechanics, and he makes consistent contact. Koons has upside, and he is a good student as well.
