Carlos Lopez is a 2008 SS/3B/C with a 5'11'', 194 lb. frame from Boynton Beach, FL who attends Atlantic Community. Carlos has a nice athletic build with strength. In the infield he showed a very strong arm throwing 87 across the infield. He moves well in the infield with smooth athletic actions. He also looked good as a catcher showing a good arm and a quick release. He was a little raw behind the plate but showed good catching tools. At the plate he used a leg lift trigger to start his good looking swing. He showed quick hands and good bat speed and hit through the ball. He showed good pop and was also able to stay pretty short to the ball. He also showed and easy, fluid delivery on the mound and was able to run his fastball up to 86. Carlos is a very intriguing follow as he shows good ability at variety of different positions. He also excels in the classroom.
