Luke Auger is a 2008 C/1B from Avon HS, residing in Avon, Connecticut, with a 5'10"/180 pound frame. Luke has a solid frame. He hits from a slightly open stance and closes well. Auger has solid hands with solid bat speed and stays inside the ball well. He has good extension at the plate and goes the other way well. Luke has solid power which will continue to improve as he gets stronger. He has good feet behind the plate with solid mechanics. Auger has an accurate arm with a good release and a 1.96 pop time. His release does get long at times. Luke is an excellent student.
