Ciucki is a 6-2, 180 lb senior right handed pitcher from Ohio with a loose arm and a projectable body. His best pitch is a 69-72 mph curveball that he showed that he could throw for strikes at any point in the count. Ciucki's fastball was 80-83 and he used it with purpose and moved it around the strike zone. Ciucki should add velocity on his fastball as gets stronger and more mature physically. There were two other things that we liked about Ciucki as a player that add to his projection. First, he was a good athlete who swung the bat well and also showed solid defensive ability at first base. Secondly, this kid really acts like he's having fun on the baseball field and players who have fun and enjoy themselves always seem to get better from what we've seen. Ciucki is a good student who should become a solid college baseball player.
