Justin Jones is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Kathleen, GA who attends Houston County. Large frame, medium athletic build. Crouched stance at the plate, long stride, direct hand path, strong forearms, lacks extension through the baseball but still manages to muscle the ball for some distance, can unlock raw power with tweaks to swing. Good lateral agility and range in the infield, strong infield arm, quick transfer and release, very solid defender, had a highlight reel play ranging to his left at shortstop in game action, reached ball at boundary of (good) range, spun and threw blindly on the money with some zip on the ball to nail the runner. Excellent student.
