Ryan Kapp is a 2008 OF/C/P with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Toms River, NJ who attends Toms River South HS. He has a nice lean build with slopped shoulders with plenty of strength projection. Kapp is a good looking defensive outfielder with run/throw tools. He ran the 60 in 6.91 and threw 86 mph from the outfield while showing good accuracy. Kapp has a balanced, rotational swing that keeps the bat on plane with the ball a long time. His best contact is solid line drives to right centerfield and he has some bat speed and good leverage on contact. Kapp doesn't have much hand use in his swing and was challenged making adjustments when pitchers moved the ball around in the strike zone. Overall, Kapp is a very good looking athlete with the potential to improve as a hitter.
