Noble (Jack) Dilday is a 2007 RHP with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Long Beach CA, who attends Phillips Academy. He has a strong, mature body with good present strength. Dilday has a balanced delivery at the top with some effort and fall off to the first base side on release. His arm action is short and compact. Dilday's release point varies and he'll sometimes come low across his body to release the ball, which flatens out his pitches. Dilday's fastball was 79-82 mph and topped out at 83 and was mostly straight. He tended to get under his curveball at 63 mph and it had a wide, slurvy break to it. Dilday has the raw arm strength to continue to develop as a pitcher once he gets some mechanical issues worked out. He is an excellent student off the field.
