Cooper Sniatynski is a 2007 SS/P with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Kenosha WI, who attends St Joseph HS. He has an athletic body with a slender upper half and a strong lower half. Sniatynski is a very aggressive hitter who attacks the ball and generates very good bat speed. He uses his strong lower half well to create pull leverage and showed that he can drive the ball hard to the gaps and reach the fences as well. Sniatynski stayed back well on pitches in the games and seems to be able to time pitches well. He's a good looking young hitter with the kind of approach you like to see. Defensively, Sniatynski's best tool is his arm strength, which is solid for the left side of the infield. He is a 7.25/4.48 runner who moves well from side to side. His actions are best suited to third base, as he tended to lay back on balls at shortstop and needs work getting rid of the ball more quickly. He charged the ball smoothly when he did decide to come in. Sniatynski has been a very strong game performer in the Wisconsin Fall League as well. He also took a turn on the mound in Cedar Rapids and threw 81 mph with a pretty sharp curveball and did a good job throwing strikes. Sniatynski is also a good student.
