Colin Ziegel is a 2005 outfielder from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, with a thick, athletic build at 6'2", 205 pounds. He is a switch hitter with more bat speed and control from the right side. He has a good swing plane from the left side and makes solid contact. From the right, he gets into a good launch position. He has quick hands to the ball and a nice long finish with raw strength and good power. Defensively, he has good range with excellent footwork, and a strong arm (81 mph) with good accuracy. He has good instincts and feel for the outfield. He also pitched with an 80 mph fastball, and a 72 mph slider. Colin has a nice body, with good tools that will project well at the next level.
