Christopher Caswell is a physically mature 2005 middle infielder from Louisiana with good strength throughout his 5'10" frame. He might actually profile best as a catcher in the future. Caswell has short quick actions offensively and defensively, especially a strong arm with a quick release from the middle of the field. Caswell’s swing is similar; quick and efficient and he hit consistent line drives all over the ball park. He hits from an open to closed approach. His physical maturity and present tools probably mean that he dominates high school competition and will be one of those college players who can have immediate success at the right program. Caswell also threw two innings, showing a 79-81 mph fastball with some boring action and a sharp breaking 71 mph slider. He is a good student also.
