Kiefer Irving is a 2008 RHP/C with a 5'9'', 142 lb. frame from Wappingers Falls NY, who attends Ketcham. Irving has a smaller frame with a slender young build. Irving pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and throws with a medium length arm action. His arm works well and it has looseness to it. He uses drop and drive style mechanics and pitches with max effort. Iriving has an upright delivery and doesn't maintain balance. His fastball stays on the same plane and his curveball breaks on a 12/6 path. Irving gets depth on his curveball. At the plate, Irving starts with a slightly closed stance with a wide base. He uses a deep load and has bat wrap. He has a quiet approach in the box and he drifts to contact. Irving has some length to his swing and has bat speed. He swings on a level path and uses a contact hitters approach at the plate. Irving is a good student.
