2006 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Brett Brenner is a 2009 SS/RHP that attends Harriton HS and resides in Villanova, PA with a 5'8", 155 lb. frame. Brett has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. At the plate Brett shows a short swing plane and drives the ball the best up the middle of the field. He is mostly a slap hitter at this point, but as he gets stronger he should drive the ball harder all over the field. In the field Brett has an accurate arm with a quick release. It appears as if there is more arm strength than what Brett showed in the field. On the mound Brett throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle. Brett shows good command on the mound and a good feel for a straight change up. He is an aggressive pitcher that really attacks hitters. Brett looks like a kid that could be a solid mid-level college recruit.
