Chance Moore is a 6'1/195, 2005 left handed pitcher from Austin, TX, with broad shoulders and a solid frame. He has a high leg kick to start his delivery and throws across his body a bit, from a mid ¾ release point. Moore mixed up two pitches, a 78-80 mph fastball and a big breaking 65 mph curveball, and spotted both pitches well on the outside half of the plate to right handed hitters. The combination of mixing up the pitches and putting them where he wanted enabled Moore to cruise through three innings of work, allowing only one scratch hit that was quickly erased on a double play. He could develop into a high level lefty. Chance is an outstanding student.
