Isaiah Bennett is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Fayetteville, NC who attends Pine Forest HS. Quick twitch athleticism throughout the frame with excellent speed, recorded 6.65 60-yard dash, that impacts the game in all aspects. Primary righthanded pitcher with a long loose arm action and excellent arm speed. Hides ball well and creates deception to his pitches with downhill plane to the fastball. High three-quarter arm slot, both arm and body project extremely well; very high ceiling pitcher with tons of room to add strength. Advanced feel for spin with a sharp slider that showed consistent two-plane break. Curveball also showed good depth and 11/5 shape; four pitch mix. Secondary outfielder with a short crow hop and solid arm strength that plays well. Throws have some carry with deliberate actions throughout. Compact, short stroke from the right hand side of the plate with an inside hand path. Wide base with a pull approach at the plate and bat-to-ball skills. Named to the Junior National Top Prospect List. Outstanding student. Verbal commitment to North Carolina.
