Samuel Patterson is a 2015 2B/OF with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Auburn, GA who attends Apalachee. Patterson has a medium sized frame with a long lanky build. Defensively he showed good footwork to the baseball with solid infield actions. Patterson has quick transfers and a quick release with arm strength up to 71 MPH. His tools project best at 2B and he showed the athleticism to develop well. At the plate, Patterson starts with an open stance and uses a big knee lift trigger to start his swing. He swings on a line drive plane and has some bat speed. Patterson has a middle of the field aggressive approach and should hit a lot of line drives. Solid athletic player, outstanding student.
