Kyle Shipp is a 2015 RHP/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Clear Brook HS. Slender young frame, lots of room to get stronger. High leg raise delivery, slow initial pace then accelerates hard to the plate, timing not always consistent, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets good running and sinking life at times. Short curveball with 10/4 sweeping shape and occasional depth, tends to slow arm on change up. Projects to improve with additional strength. Right handed hitter, spread stance with limited shift, high hand load with big hand drop, leans back and sprays line drives to all fields. 7.06 runner, moved well in infield drills, accurate throws, can make the routine play. Very good student.
