Taj Mitchell is a 2015 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend HS. Mitchell has a smaller frame with a thin lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. His arm works and he has some arm speed. Mitchell has a high leg lift and gets closed at balance point. He has a repeatable delivery and threw a lot of strikes. Mitchell throws an 11/5 curveball with solid spin and shape to it. He occasionally cuts his fastball as well. Defensively he attacks the ball in the outfield and works through the ball well. He showed arm strength up to 83 MPH with a quick release. Mitchell is a switch hitter, from the right side he starts with a spread stance and has a short swing to the ball. He has a flat path and made line drive contact. From the left side he has a similar contact approach. His right handed swing has more bat speed and projects better. Outstanding student.
