Keegan Perez is a 2016 3B/1B/RHP with a 5-9 210 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Urbandale HS. Medium frame with strong build and a thick body. Hits from squared, spread stance with high hands. Hands show some looseness throughout swing, gets extended well with pull-field approach resulting in good strength off the barrel at times. Limited shift into contact, overall strength is impressive through swing. Can make hard contact. Worked out in the infield during defensive drills. Fields well with two hands deep between feet, good hands, accurate arm across the infield with velocity on throws reaching 71 MPH. Solid, deliberate footwork throughout fielding drills. Pitched as well. Works with short arm action to 3/4 slot in good leg drive delivery. Slight spine tilt mechanics. Repeats mechanics well, showing FB/CB combo. FB worked in low 70's with life to arm side, CB flashed 11/5 shape with depth in the high 50's. Throws both pitches for consistent strikes. Good student.
