Matthew Russo is a 2015 2B/SS with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends West Hills. Compact frame, slender build. High energy defender who creates additional range by staying with plays on balls that don't initially appear to be reachable, good carry on throws with a long arm action, level of effort and exertion stood out in games. Competitive game at bats, good in-game approach, contact oriented swing, improved balance should allow him to make harder contact going forward. Good student.
