Joseph Tieman is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Saint Joseph, MO who attends St Joseph Central. Tall, strongly build, lean left-hander with room to fill out. Ran a 7.20 60 yard dash. Pitches from a low effort three-quarter arm action and knows how to command all his pitches. Repeats his delivery well. Works at 78-79 mph with his fastball and spots well. Mixes in his curveball effectively with tight rotation at 69 mph. Also flashes a 70 mph changeup. Projects to add velocity. Also played the field, shows good carry on his outfield throws and has more in the tank. Bats left-handed, works from a squared, spread stance and has a pull side approach. Has a flat, quick line drive stroke. Uses his speed effectively in game action. Excellent student.
