Jake Stein is a 2016 3B/1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Newcastle, WA who attends O'Dea HS. Stein has a medium frame with room to fill out. As an infielder he displayed a good arm action with an over the top release and had accurate throws. As a right handed hitter he hit from a square stance with a wide base and a toe tap trigger. Showed a middle of the field approach with a line drive swing plane, let the ball get deep in his swing and showed balance through his swing. Displayed the ability to get his hands inside the ball and drive it the other way. Excellent Student.
