Tyler DeClercq is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Rockledge, FL who attends Montverde Academy. DeClercq has a strong athletic body. Uses an over the top arm slot with a short arm circle in back. Fastball has good movement and gets ground balls with it. Mixes in a 12/6 curveball and uses it as put away pitch. Has good command and maintains velocity. hit from a slightly closed stance with a high hand set. Gap to gap line drive approach. Stays inside baseball with quick hands and occasional had solid contact. Hit ball hard during games. Defensively, good actions in the OF to the ball and has a good first step. On the infield the ball showed good carry across diamond and has soft hands. Good Student.
