David Marbert is a 2006 outfielder from Palmer Trinity High School in Pinecrest, Florida, with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame. He is a compact player with good game speed and quickness. His 7.20 sixty was run on a slow and wet track, and he showed better game quickness with a nice first step. Defensively he has solid arm strength from the outfield with online carry and good accuracy. Marbert also showed good range in center field during the showcase games when he got good jumps on fly balls. At the plate the left handed hitter takes a short stride from an open stance and gets his weight on his front side. He is a line drive hitter who will make consistent contact. Marbert is an aggressive hitter who has very good bat speed, and also has a good eye. He will be a high on base percentage player with top of the order potential. He is a fun player to watch, and is a good student as well.
