Garrett Davila is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Belmont, NC who attends South Point HS. Long limbed very slender young build. Long extended arm action, shows ball to the hitter with some wrap in back, quick loose arm coming through with good extension out front, 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball, touched 90 mph, more velocity in there with additional strength. Release point not consistent on curveball but creates hard spin and bite, shape varies from 12/6 downer to a big 2/8 sweep. Good fading life on change up. Flashes quality with all his pitches and has lots of physical projection. Good student, verbal commitment to Tennessee.
