Ian Kristan is a 2014 C/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Mundelein, IL who attends Carmel Catholic HS. Big solid athletic build, good present strength. Sound catching and receiving mechanics, good footwork shifting and throwing, clean transfers and release, receives the ball cleanly, only real issue is speeding things up. Left handed hitter, busy load with double toe tap, bit long to the ball, good swing plane and path to the ball, shows some gap power potential, best on balls down in the zone. Improving overall speed/quickness will be the key, has the strength and fundamentals to keep improving. Good student.
