AJ Graffanino is a 2015 SS/2B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Northwest Christian HS. Tall very slender long limbed build, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.09 runner, quick actions on defense in the middle infield, plays with energy, soft hands at the ball, release is a bit long, good arm with carry and accuracy. Switch hitter, more polished with more bat speed and strength left handed, stays short with his hands left handed and handles the barrel well, line drive contact to all fields, longer with less strength right handed. Very projectable player still growing into his body, defense will carry until the strength kicks in. Good student, verbal commitment to Washington.
