Ramirez is a 5-10, 180 lb senior third baseman from Texas with a solid strong body. His body and physical tools look to be more suited for playing catcher. Ramirez is a 7.24 runner in the 60 with some looseness in his lower half. He showed 76 mph arm strength during infield drills and later showed some arm strength off the mound as well. Ramirez has an upper cut swing at the plate and pulls off the ball pretty severely trying to pull and lift the ball. He has the strength to hit with a more balanced approach. Ramirez pitched pretty well for a secondary pitcher, too. He topped out at 80 mph from a short, compact delivery and a cross body release. He showed good spin on a 66 mph curveball and pitched effectively. Ramirez is a very good student.
