Tyler Fitzsimmons is a 2007 C/OF/P with a 5'11'', 168 lb. frame from Menomonee Falls WI, who attends Menomonee Falls HS. He has a medium frame with developing strength. He is a 7.57 runner who threw 71 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.09. Fitzsimmons has quick actions defensively behind the plate. His hands work well receiving the ball and he has an accurate arm. His throw times will improve with his arm strength. Offensively, Fitzsimmons hits from a balanced stance with a limited load. He has some hand strength and the ball comes off the bat head well from a line drive swing. Most of Fitzsimmons contact is up the middle or to the opposite field. Fitzsimmons will improve as a hitter when he learns to get the bat started sooner. His lack of a trigger forces him to hit from a still start and he seems tentative frequently in getting the bat started. He has the raw physical tools to be a productive hitter. Fitzsimmons is an outstanding student.
