Zachary Luka is a 2013 C/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends The Bishop's School. Medium build, some present strength. Switch-hitter, similar mechanics from both sides, early stride, will open up early occasionally, mostly line drive plane with some bat speed, shows a bit more lift right handed. Low flexible set up receiving, good game throws, accurate, blocks well and plays hard, playable arm strength, tends to lean back when throwing. Also pitched, simple turn and throws delivery, cross body on release, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball to 82 mph, lots of run and sink, slider is good secondary pitch, soft curveball, threw K's and looked in command on the mound. Good student.
