2004 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
C/RHP Tug Fleckenstein: Fleckenstein is a senior catcher who hits from the left side of the plate. He made consistent hard contact to the middle of the field during the Spring Showcase with a good aggressive swing. Fleckenstein also pitches and does a good job of filling up the strike zone with a mid-70’s fastball and big breaking curveball. We’ve seen him play a lot and he continues to surprise us despite some not so great tools. He's tough behind the plate and he can hit. He also has championship caliber makeup.
