Brenden Cuni is a 2013 3B/RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from New Rochelle, NY who attends Iona Preparatory. Medium built with some good present strength, very stronger lower half. Raw infield actions, lays back on the ball, short arm action, flashes arm strength, skills there to improve. Right-handed hitter, takes a long stride into the ball, flashes some good loft, impressive sound off the bat, consistent swing mechanics. Aggressive hitter, shows some strength, has an idea at the plate. Also pitches, pitches from a high arm slot, short arm action, crossfire release, keeps his delivery very compact, hides the ball well, some effort to his mechanics. Works at 78-80 mph with his fastball, shows good two seam action, throws a lot of strikes, should be more velocity on the way. Spins 11-5 slurvy breaking ball, decent action. Works fast, good feel for pitching. Excellent student.
