WP - Spencer Tate is a 2006 LHP/OF/1B from Francis Parker HS in CA. At 6'3", 180, Spencer has an extra large frame with an average build. He has a lively, athletic body with long arms and legs. Spencer shows a solid left handed swing from a wide base. He shows good bat speed through the zone. He gets a slight lift in his swing and looks to be a good inside hitter. On the mound, he has a 3/4 arm angle with good downward life on his fastball that will help to generate plenty of ground balls. He showed his arm strength from the OF as well. Spencer has good upside and his body is very projectable.
