Stephen Shunk is a 2012 RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Dunbar. Strong build with strength in his lower half. Long arm action from a 3/4 slot with a balanced delivery and extension out front. Loose arm with repeatable mechanics. Consistent fastball velocity with occasional cut. 11/5 curveball at 70 showed good depth and he showed the ability to throw it for strikes. He also threw a changeup at 75 and used a cut fastball at 76. Long swing at the plate on a line drive plane. Gets thru the ball with an all fields approach, lots to the opposite field. Excellent student.
