Collin Garrett is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Montgomery HS. Tall extra large frame, strong throughout and especially in his lower half. Fast and powerful arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, powers the ball downhill, good extension out front, delivery gets out of sync at time and still working on consistency. Fastball topped at 90 mph, have heard first hand reports of 93 mph recently, good hard late arm side running action at times. Inconsistency shows most on off speed pitches, tends to slow arm on change up and get on side of curveball, shows good shape and spin to curve when on top. Chance to throw really hard one day. Right handed hitter, shows his strength in his swing, short enough to the ball for his size, has home run power when squared. Good student.
