Brent Diaz is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends Strake Jesuit College Prep. Strong athletic build, good present strength. 3/4 arm slot, long arm circle, arm works, online delivery, gets extension out front, armside run on fastball, downhill plane, feel for 11-5 curveball, around the plate, has a feel for pitching. Short simple left-handed swing, good strength in swing, takes hands to the ball well, good barrel contact, consistent line-drive contact. Makes playes in the field, solid 3B tools. Outstanding student.
