Jason Weiner is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 6-0 218 lb. frame from Oceanside, NY who attends Oceanside HS. Thick mature build, good overall strength. Right handed hitter, left handed thrower. Upright stance, rotational swing, generates some bat speed, upper cut swing plane, will fly open at times, ball comes off the barrel well when squared up. 7.27 runner, good hands at the ball in the outfield, some range, 2 piece arm action, arm strength still developing. Also pitched, multi-piece delivery, long arm action with low 3/4's release point, lower half opens early, tends to drift to release point. Fastball to 74 mph, lots of sink and running action, have seen up to 82 mph in the past, did not throw off speed this outing. Good student.
