2010 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Brady Janssen is a 2010 RHP/1B with a 6'4'', 215 lb. frame from Arlington, IA who attends Starmont HS. Big strong athletic build. Complicated multi-piece delivery with full arm swing, high 3/4's to overhand release point, tends to fall off on release, inconsistent delivery mechanics. Shows good raw arm strength, mid 80's fastball, has been up to 88 mph during the Spring League, mostly straight with occ tailing action. Threw mostly FB's, CB has short slider like break off the barrell, rare change up. Should improve with more consistent and simple delivery mechanics. Good student.
