Pedro Rodriguez is a 2006 infielder/right handed pitcher from Toa Baja PR with a nice projectable build at 6 ft. 2 170 pounds. He has a balanced set up and a good load, but gets out front too quickly. He shows good hand quickness and bat speed, especially when he stays back. He has a level swing and gets good extension on his finish. Defensively, he has nice soft hands and keeps them out front. He moves well with quick feet and shows good range. He has quick hands with a smooth transfer and makes accurate throws. He showed very good athleticism with a 6.82 in the 60, and 4.49 home to first. On the mound, he has a full wind up and pitches from a 3/4 slot with a very short arm action. His fastball topped out at 80 mph. He has a decent spinning breaking ball topping out at 70 mph. He struggled a bit with command. He is a good looking junior with lots of potential, and he is definitely a good prospect to follow.
