Nick White is a 2008 C/1B with a 5'11'', 210 lb. frame from Marina, CA who attends Salinas HS. He has a thick build on a strong, sturdy frame. White is going to be a solid college player. He has solid skill level and plays with the type of intensity and effort to succeed above his natural ability and tools. One thing that really stands out about White is how he talks the game at all times, even in a showcase situation, which we don't see a lot. He has some leadership and field general presence that only adds to what he brings to the game. White is a maximum effort player with a grinder approach. His swing has some strength and he takes an aggressive hack that on occasion results in some gap power. Defensively he really works hard behind teh plate. White's hands are strong and he has a chance to be a good receiver. He works hard at blocking pitches and has decent/catch skills.
