Michael Serratore is a 5'10", 190 lb. catcher from Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, with a strong, thick body. Behind the plate his pop times ranged from 2.03-2.14 with 75 mph velocity on throws. Serratore has some mechanical snags in his transfers and release that are correctable. Michael stands up too early in his throwing motion and loses some speed and velocity on his throws. Michael is a right handed hitter with a no load approach. He shows very good hand strength, but gets little help from his lower half during his swing. With more use of his lower half, he should generate very good college power given his strength and raw bat speed. Michael is a very good student.
