Jack Spohn is a 2012 1B/3B, OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Claremont, CA who attends Damien. Strong athletically built corner infield prospect. Impressive hitting tools with good bat speed with some power thanks to a balanced swing with good use of his lower half. Currently possesses a strong pull tendency but as has the raw hitting tools to learn to drive the ball the opposite way with authority. Hit several balls hard during games, loft in swing combined with strength at contact hint at Home Run power potential. Showed solid defensive actions at 1B and a strong accurate arm. Good instincts on the bases, made good aggressive decisions. Good student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
