2005 Ohio Valley Top Prospect
Kolton Morrison is a 2006 2B/P from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, OH, with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame and good mature strength. He showed very good speed in the 60 at 6.94 and threw 75 mph during infield drills. Morrison's speed plays even better on the field because he is a high energy, hustling player who plays the game hard. Morrison showed plenty of range in the infield and quick feet around the bag at second base. His arm strength plays well. Offensively, Morrison has a lead off type approach, with a quick line drive swing and a contact oriented approach to all fields. His size and strength gives him some gap to gap power potential. Morrison is a very good all around athlete with solid baseball skills across the board. He's a very good follow and could really blossom as he gets closer to playing college baseball. Morrison is also a good student.
