Jason Mazzoni is a 2005 1B/C from Hillsborough, NC. He hits with a high hand set and very little load that produces a good line drive swing plane even though he gets minimal help from his lower half. Mazzoni takes a high percentage contact approach with some gap to gap power. Defensively Mazzoni showed decent footwork around the first base bag and nice hands. Jason also got on the mound and topperd out at 65 mph. He showed some good instincts both defensively and on the bases. Jason is an excellent student.
