Alliston Wong is a 2008 LHP/OF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Markham, ON who attends Father Michael McGivney SS. He has a medium build with developing strength. Wong has a nice, balanced delivery with a long, loose arm that he lays back at the start of his delivery. He accelerates to the plate pretty quickly and is a bit hard on his front side but works over it well. Wong has a good idea how to pitch and work his three pitches together while throwing to spots. His fastball topped out at 82 mph and was mostly 81 mph. His change up comes from the same release point and has nice fading action at 73 mph. Wong's slider had good velocity at 73 mph and was short and pretty tight at the plate. Wong pounded the strike zone and got quick outs.
