Lucas O'Rear is a Col RHP with a 6'6'', 260 lb. frame from Cedar Falls, IA who attends U. Northern Iowa. XXL build, strong all over. First outing since spring 2009, basketball player on Final 16 team. Basic on line delivery, repeats well, shows athleticism, loose arm, hides ball well in back, tight 3/4's release point. FB steady at 90 mph, stays low in zone, good downhill angle, ground ball machine, SL has early slurvy break, will need to improve off speed but pounded strike zone. Promising outing, definitely worth a shot. One more year of basketball eligibility.
