Leroy Travis is a 2008 SS/P/OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Fresno, CA, who attends Edison HS. Travis has a good frame that is lean and athletic. Defensively he makes accurate throws from the outfield. He has arm speed, and his throws are online to the base. He gets good reads off the bat, and he tracks the ball well covering ground. He moves well and has the ability to also play in the infield. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an average base. Travis has bat speed through the zone with a short swing. He stays balanced, and he has a good eye. Travis stays inside the ball with the ability to hit to all fields. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose and easy arm. He has a balanced delivery and he throws strikes. He gets life on his fastball that topped out at 79 mph, but he projects to throw harder in the future. His curveball is his best pitch at 64 mph with depth. He has very good upside to his overall game.
